A Little about me
I myself was attracted by the charm of natural languages. When I came to the United States, my English was far from satisfactory. The way of improving my language skill was helping my neighbor’s daughter with her Chinese homework. While I was explaining all the complicated word structure and pronunciations to her, I learned English. I believe that helping is not only giving but obtaining at the same time. After I was admitted to University, I learned French and more about Japanese, which I have studied when I was in high school. Learning a new Language is the biggest delight to me. I relish the pleasure and sense of fulfillment when communicating with people who are interested in linguistics and giving them some suggestion on how to learn a new language. In 2015, I had a chance to be Steve Forbes personal interpretor. What I have learned from him was always to be prepared.
I like traveling because it enables me to know new things and make new friends. Since 2007, I have traveled to 13 provinces in China. I prefer places untouched by humans rather than those well-developed tourism attractions. At first, I was attracted by the beautiful scenery and unique culture. There were beautiful villages scattered here and there, natural and simple. However, children’s education was lagging far behind. I felt sorry that they had no knowledge sources except for textbooks. I was inspired by the concept of a non-profit organization. I started packing one pound more educational materials before leaving. One pound is not too much weight; however, thousands of such weight will make its value immeasurable.
